Denial management FAQ

Can old denials still be appealed?

Often, yes, as long as they are within the payer's appeal deadline. Each one is checked and prioritised by deadline and amount.

What are the most common denial causes?

Eligibility problems, missing authorizations, coding mismatches and missing information are among the most frequent. Each practice has its own pattern, which the review identifies.

Will you tell us how to prevent denials?

Yes. Causes are shared with your team as simple, practical notes.

What is the difference between a rejection and a denial?

A rejection is stopped before the payer processes it, usually because of a data error, and can be corrected and resubmitted. A denial has been processed and refused payment, so it needs a corrected claim, a reconsideration or a written appeal. See 10 common reasons claims get denied.
