Mental health billing services for therapists & group practices
Billing support for therapists, counselors, psychologists and behavioral health groups, so you can focus on clients instead of claims.
- Verify benefitsBehavioral health coverage, copays and authorization rules are checked before the first session.
- Code the sessionTime-based psychotherapy codes, add-ons and telehealth details are applied correctly.
- Get paidClaims are followed until paid, and denials are corrected or appealed.
Behavioral health billing has its own rules. Psychotherapy codes are based on session time, many plans carve out mental health benefits to a separate administrator, and some services need authorization before they start. I handle the billing side for solo therapists and group practices so claims go out right the first time and get followed until they are paid.

Mental health billing FAQ
Which CPT codes are used for therapy sessions?
Individual psychotherapy is billed by time: 90832 for 16–37 minutes, 90834 for 38–52 minutes and 90837 for 53 minutes or more. Intake assessments usually use 90791, and family and group sessions have their own codes. See the guide to mental health CPT codes.
Can you bill telehealth sessions?
Yes. Telehealth claims need the correct place of service code and, for many payers, a modifier such as 95. Rules differ by payer, so each plan’s current requirements are followed.
Can you help clinicians get credentialed with insurance?
Yes. Enrollment with commercial plans and Medicare can be handled alongside billing, including CAQH profile setup. See provider credentialing.
